What to Expect
The Chubuto River is a popular fishing spot for anglers. Wear a wader suit to stay dry, step into the calm river flowing through the trees, and try bait fishing for beginners to catch Yamame trout or Iwana char!

Available in two sessions: 09:30 AM in the morning and 01:30 PM in the afternoon.

What’s included: Insurance / Guide fee / Experience fee / Provided equipment (fishing rods, wading boots, buckets, fishing gear, and bait).
Schedule
09:20 AM - Meet at the Kuromatsunai Tourism Association.
10:00 AM - Prepare by putting on the wader suit (Tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours).
The wader suit will keep you dry and comfortable while walking in the river. All equipment is provided, and the guide will assist you in getting ready.
Fishing Spot
The guide will lead you to the best fishing spot of the day.
Head to the Chubuto River or its tributaries, which are popular fishing spots for Yamame trout and Ayu fish. Depending on the season, there may be opportunities for sea fishing, such as Hoke fish or Shika fish.
Explore Kuromatsunai, a Beech Forest Town
Kuromatsunai, located in the southwest of Hokkaido, is a unique satoyama area rich in mountains, wetlands, rivers, and the sea. It is known as the "northernmost beech town" and is surrounded by beautiful beech forests, such as the Utsai Beech Forest.
Walking in the River
Put on your wader suit and start walking through the river without worrying about getting wet. Follow the guide’s instructions to reach the best fishing spot.

The guide will provide full assistance, whether you're a beginner or unfamiliar with bait or fish. Relax and enjoy fishing amidst nature.

Return to the Kuromatsunai Tourism Association and conclude the tour (approximate time).
